Otso Gold

Otso Gold Corp. wholly owns the Otso Gold Mine near the town of Raahe in Finland. The Mine is a fully permitted open pit operation with a 2 million tonne per annum process plant in place and two open pits. The sunk capital of the project to date is in excess of CAD 300 million, the majority being spent on the start of the art process plant built by Metso and Outotec. The mine is fully permitted and ready for production.

President, Chief Executive Officer & Director

Mr. Brian Wesson has extensive experience spanning a career of over 30 years in the management, operation design and construction of natural resource operations globally. He qualified as an engineer in South Africa, gained an MBA in Australia, studied Economics at the University of South Africa and is a fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Brian founded the Wesson Group of Companies, of which Lionsbridge and Westech form part, with a view to utilising the Groups’ experience in the ownership, management and development of natural resource companies and the intellectual property developed to unlock shareholder value. Mr Wesson brings unique value in being highly experienced in both the corporate and technical aspects of managing a company; he understands natural resource companies from underground to the ‘board room’.

Vice-President & Director

Mr. Clyde Wesson has significant experience in all aspects of the management of corporate entities, both listed and unlisted. Clyde’s expertise includes the restructuring and recapitalising of distressed assets, corporate finance, design and execution of corporate strategy, legal management and bringing assets to market. Clyde holds bachelor’s degrees in both Law and Commerce (LLB, B.Com) and a Master’s of Law (LLM) from Melbourne University. He is a solicitor and member of the Supreme Court of NSW and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and the Law Society of NSW.

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Gelmon, CPA, CA, obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of British Columbia and subsequently attained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1995 and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of B.C. Mr. Gelmon has provided his expertise to several TSX and TSX Venture Exchange-listed companies in the capacity of director, chief financial officer, and consultant.

Director

Ms. Harrison is a Chartered Professional Accountant, CGA with over 20 years of experience in permanent positions as well as in bridge leadership consulting roles with organizations in “immediate-need” situations in mining, real estate investments, technology, forest products, manufacturing and not-for-profit. She worked as Chief Financial Officer, VP Finance, Director Finance, Controller and Consultant with numerous public and private companies as well as not-for-profits. She also worked in public practice.

Independent Director

Chris Towsey brings significant geological expertise to the Board of Directors. Chris Towsey is currently Managing Director of a private geological consulting company. He was an independent director of Black Dragon Gold while on the TSX-V and until April 2016, was a Director of Citigold Corporation Limited Australia. Further, he was a Director of Great Mines Ltd and the Queensland Resources Council, the premier mining industry representative body in Queensland. He has 40 years’ experience as a mining and exploration geologist with particular expertise in the mining of narrow-vein gold deposits, ore reserve estimation, geochemistry and in copper and lead-zinc-silver mines. Mr. Towsey holds Honours and Masters degrees in economic geology from the University of Sydney. He is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM), a Chartered Professional (Geology), Chair of the AusIMM Health & Safety Society Committee and a Competent Person under the Australian JORC Code for the reporting of mineral resources and ore reserves.

Human Resources and Stakeholders

Amelia is a principal of Lionsbridge and Westech International and has gained experience turning companies around and being Vice President and a board member of listed Canadian companies. Negotiating agreements with governments, unions and land owners in several companies and working closely with communities to ensure sustainability. Amelia is focused on managing human resource assets and local community relations.

Executive Relations Manager

Mr Juha Tiainen has significant experience in financial-, finance- and administrative management from various sizes of domestic and international companies and groups. Mr Tiainen has more than 30 years of experience in corporate and group external and internal accounting and finance. He has also acted on the boards of several domestic and foreign companies. Juha Tiainen holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Vaasa School of Economics). In addition, he is certified as both a Certified Board Member (HHJ) and – Chairman (HHJ-pj) (Tampere Chamber of Commerce).

Mine Manager

Peter has in excess of thirty years Operational and Managerial experience in open pit and Underground Mining in both Metalliferous and Coal Mines. Further Peter has in excess of twenty years planning experience in open pit and underground mines. He has particular expertise in resource development, construction and change management of existing mining operations. Peter graduated with honours from the Royal School of Mines and subsequently completed an MBA.

Peter will be deployed to resolve the issues with the open pit and ensure proper mining methods are used. Further Peter’s experience in site management will be deployed to ensure there is always a management representative on site.
